The primary focus of the Empower 5 Challenge is to shed light on the importance of empowering teachers through continuous professional development. Recognizing the vital role teachers play in shaping the future, the initiative aims to create a platform where companies can actively participate in supporting teachers' growth and development.

Our Events

The first-ever, Internationally recognised Deca SA 2025 Ultra Triathlon
This is a race for the ULTRA athlete.
​
Compete in a single, double, triple, quintuple (5x) or DECA (10x) (full ironman distance) race. The South African and African continental records will be set at this event.

There is even a chance to break the World Record.

How to Participate
Step-by-Step Guide:

Choose a Race: Select the race you want to participate in.

Sign Up: Complete our registration form

Confirmation: Receive confirmation and your supporters pack. (Your supporters pack contains your letter of endorsement, marketing material and a racers page on our website, to direct sponsors to).

Start Fundraising: Share your fundraising page with friends and family.

Train and Race: Prepare for the race and participate in the event.
Fundraising incentives
There are slight variances between the different race options, in order to find out more exact details and costs, you need to choose the race you would like to participate in, in the Events section above.
Level 01
Race Entry
Depending on what race you choose, the funds you raise will cover your entry fee to the race and if needed your race licence for the event. It will also include the Empowerment of 5 teachers.
Level 02
Race Entry +
This level covers your race entry, (race license if needed), and you will receive a single piece of race kit (either a running or cycling vest depending on the event). It will also include the Empowerment of 10 teachers.
Level 03
Race Entry ++
This level covers your race entry, (race license if needed), and you will receive two pieces of race kit (either two running or cycling vests, or one of each depending on the event). It will also include the Empowerment of 15 teachers.
04
Deluxe package
This is under construction and will vary depending on your race.
How the fund raising works
Sponsors/Donors will be given the Empower 5 banking details and payments will be made directly to us. We then update your live webpage and inform you of the deposits made and from whom they come. All entry fees are settled after Level 1, and you will be notified. All racing kit is dispersed through Empower 5, upon reaching level 2 or higher.
You do not have to commit to a level but rather progress until you reach a level, for example; if you can only fundraise enough for level 1, your race entry and licence (if needed) along with the empowerment of 5 teachers, will be paid across. If you fundraise and reach Level 2 and then 3 you will receive your race entry and licence (if needed) and your one or two pieces of race kit along with empowering 10 or 15 teachers.
Should you pass Level 1 and not make it to Level 2, the extra monies will go into empowering more teachers which you will be credited with doing.
